About

WWHF9-4705R.JPG

My name is Katherine Fuller, formerly and sometimes still known as Katherine Stump. I’m a 23-year-old Texan who’s been road cycling off and on for 10 years, but only “seriously” since 2008. What do I mean by serious? I’m a bike-aholic with an addiction and a kick-ass Felt, both far greater than my skills and strength.

To try and correct the disparities in my cycling life, I’ve begun an attempt to transform myself from pokey endurance cyclist to Cat 4 racing cyclist. It’s a truly haphazard journey with a big dose of humor and self-deprecation thrown into the mix. I top it all off with a dash of cyclocross because my inner self is a struggling badass.

By day, I work for a non-profit housing organization doing communications, development and fundraising. By night, I freelance for cycling publications. In Fall 2009, I started a column in She Pedals Magazine called “The Cat 5 Files – One Woman’s Journey into the Peloton.”

Below is the editorial I wrote for Women’s Cycling Magazine about my 2008 cross-country bike trip. (It’s not posted online, hence the lack of link. Click to read full size.)
